Well yes…but some are low carb and some are high carb.
If you are watching carbs, there are vegetables that you will want to avoid. The list includes high starch veggies. Starch is a CARB. Higher in starch means higher carbs.
Here’s “the naughty list”
These contain between 10 and 40 grams of carbohydrates per 1/2 cup.
Starch isn’t the only factor. Those tasty sweet veggies contain natural sugars.
High carb veggies should only be eaten infrequently and in moderation. (Some squash, onions, carrots and some peppers are higher in sugar.)
Sugars ARE carbohydrates.
The sweeter something is, the more carbs it likely contains.
Watch your fruits too, those carbs are hiding in plain site!
